Rimowa suitcases have been manufactured ever since the last century. Rimowa's long tradition started in Cologne in 1898 as manufacturers of luggage under the corporate name of Kofferfabrik Paul Morszeck. A further functional zenith was attained in 1976 when Dieter Morszeck, the third generation of Rimowa management, developed the first watertight suitcases, specially designed to meet the professional demands of photographers and reporters. The waterproof Rimowa system reliably protects sensitive items of equipment against water, humidity, tropical heat and the arctic cold. No wonder that many film and TV crews use Rimowa suitcases.

Carry on sizes as stated by the IATA,  Cabin baggage should have maximum length of 22 in (56 cm), width of 18 in (45 cm) and depth of 10 in (25 cm). These dimensions include wheels, handles, side pockets. Individual airlines may have different rules.

Check in sizes: most airlines allow up to 62" (W x D x L) and 50 lbs at no additional charge. The Rimowa 29" cases all fit within this guideline for size. Many allow 65" which the Rimowa 32" fit within. Rimowa includes the wheels and handles in their measurements.
